St. Mary's of Medford handed Bonanza a tough 8-0 defeat Tuesday in a 3A/2A/1A-SD3 Special District 3 league girls soccer match played on the road in Medford. The Bonanza program, based out of Bonanza, Oregon, could not find an answer for the Medford school's attack, as the Spartans pulled away decisively over the course of the match. With no detailed scoring information available, the final margin tells the story of a difficult evening for Bonanza on the road. The loss drops Bonanza to 5-9 overall and 3-6 in league play, leaving the Longhorns with a challenging path ahead as the regular season winds down. Road matches against established programs like St. Mary's provide valuable experience for a young group still building confidence and chemistry.
