Mazama Vikings Boys Soccer 2-2 Phoenix

A road trip to Phoenix ended in a 2-2 draw Thursday as Mazama's boys soccer team split the points in Intermountain Conference (5A) play. The Vikings, based in Klamath Falls, Oregon, fought back to earn the tie against the Pirates in a league contest that carries weight in the standings down the stretch of the fall season. Mazama scored twice on the road to avoid a defeat, showing resilience away from home. The result moves the Vikings to 6-2-2 on the year and 2-2 in conference play. With four league results now on the books, every remaining conference match takes on added importance as Mazama works to position itself for a strong postseason run. The Vikings will look to convert draws into wins when they return to action. A healthy push through the final weeks of the regular season could still put Mazama in a favorable spot when the Intermountain Conference standings are settled.
