Lakeview Honkers Football 0-42 St. Mary's, Medford

St. Mary's of Medford handed Lakeview a 42-0 defeat in Southern Cascade League (2A) football on Friday night in Lakeview, Oregon, dropping the Honkers to 0-6 on the season. The Crusaders controlled the game from start to finish, holding Lakeview scoreless through four quarters and pulling away decisively by the final whistle. The loss moves Lakeview to 0-2 in conference play, leaving the Honkers searching for answers as the back half of the regular season approaches. Without a detailed box score available, the margin of defeat tells the story clearly enough. St. Mary's, a program known for its consistent strength at the 2A level, brought pressure that Lakeview's offense could not solve and that its defense could not contain. The Honkers will look to regroup during the week ahead and refocus on the task in front of them. Lakeview's next opportunity to pick up its first win of the fall comes next Friday.
