Henley Hornets Baseball 14-0 Phoenix

Henley baseball survived a nail-biting finish Thursday afternoon, holding off Phoenix 10-9 at home in a game that went down to the wire. The Hornets built enough of a cushion early to withstand a late Phoenix rally that made things interesting in the final innings.
The victory keeps Henley's strong start to the season rolling, improving to 6-2 overall while maintaining a perfect 3-0 record in conference play. Both teams showed plenty of offensive firepower in the high-scoring affair, with 19 total runs crossing the plate on a beautiful spring afternoon.
Phoenix refused to go quietly, mounting a comeback that brought them within one run of forcing extra innings. But Henley's early offensive output proved to be just enough to secure the league victory.
The Hornets have now won four of their last five games and sit in excellent position in conference standings. Henley will look to continue their momentum and keep their undefeated league record intact when they return to action next week.
