Mazama Vikings Softball 11-10 Lakeview / Paisley

One run separated two determined teams after nine innings of back-and-forth softball Friday at Mazama High School. The Vikings edged Lakeview/Paisley 11-10 in a non-league slugfest that showcased offensive firepower from both sides.

With 21 total runs crossing the plate, neither team could establish comfortable breathing room throughout the contest. The visiting squad from Lake County matched Mazama nearly swing for swing, turning what looked like routine early innings into a marathon battle.

The narrow victory keeps the Vikings perfect through their first two games of the 2026 spring campaign. After opening the season with another win, Mazama has shown early signs of the offensive production that could make them dangerous in league play.
