Klamath Union Pelicans Girls Volleyball 1-3 Mazama

Mazama swept three of four sets Tuesday night to top Klamath Union in a Skyline Conference (4A) girls volleyball match played in Klamath Falls, Oregon, winning by a final count of 3-1. The loss drops the Pelicans to 1-9 overall and 1-4 in league play as the second half of the conference schedule begins to take shape. Hosting a crosstown rival always carries extra weight, and Tuesday's crowd gave Klamath Union something to play for. The Pelicans answered, taking one set and showing they could push Mazama, but the Vikings proved more consistent across the evening, closing out the match before the home gym could fully swing momentum. For a young Klamath Union squad still searching for its footing in the Skyline Conference, the competitive set is something to build on. The Pelicans will look to translate that resilience into a full-match performance when they return to action next week.
