Lost River Raiders Baseball 9-13 La Pine

Four runs in the top of the ninth inning proved to be the difference as La Pine rallied past Lost River 13-9 in a wild baseball slugfest Tuesday evening. The East Cascades Conference (2A) Raiders from Merrill, Oregon saw their impressive season record slip to 18-5 after the non-league setback.

Both offenses came out swinging in what turned into an old-fashioned barnburner, with 22 total runs crossing the plate. Lost River appeared to have control for much of the contest before La Pine's late-game surge shifted momentum. The Raiders managed to keep pace throughout the middle innings but couldn't match the visitors' explosive ninth-inning rally.

Despite the loss, Lost River remains in excellent position with their 14-1 conference record still intact heading into the final stretch of the regular season. The Raiders have built one of their strongest campaigns in recent memory and will look to bounce back quickly.

Lost River returns to action as they continue preparation for the upcoming district playoffs, where their impressive overall record should serve them well in seeding.
