Henley Hornets Boys Soccer 4-3 Mazama

A late-match cushion held just enough as Henley boys soccer defeated Mazama 4-3 on Tuesday at home in Klamath Falls, Oregon, staying perfect in Skyline Conference (4A) play. The Hornets gutted out a one-goal victory in what turned out to be one of the more competitive league matchups of the fall, with both sides trading goals and neither willing to give ground easily. Henley's four-goal output kept the pressure on Mazama throughout, but the Vikings made things uncomfortable by answering back repeatedly before the final whistle. The win pushes Henley to 7-1 overall and a spotless 5-0 in conference, cementing their standing as one of the Basin's top 4A programs heading into the stretch run of the regular season. With league play tightening up and postseason positioning on the line, the Hornets have now won seven of eight games and show no signs of slowing down. Henley returns to action later this week looking to keep the conference record unblemished.
