Gilchrist Grizzlies Football 0-58 Powers

Powers handed Gilchrist a 58-0 defeat in a Scenic Oregon Conference football game played Friday night in Powers, Oregon, dropping the Grizzlies from Gilchrist, Oregon to 0-7 on the season. The road trip proved difficult from the start, as Powers controlled the game on both sides of the ball and built an insurmountable advantage that the Grizzlies could not answer. With no detailed scoring information available, the final margin tells the story of a night when little went right for Gilchrist. The loss leaves the Grizzlies at 0-4 in conference play, making each remaining game a chance to build toward next season rather than a postseason push. Despite the scoreboard, road games against quality opponents provide valuable experience for a young program still developing its identity. The Grizzlies will look to regroup this week and carry some lessons from Powers into their next opportunity to compete on the football field.
