Bonanza Antlers Softball 5-20 Riddle / Days Creek
Bonanza's softball team faced a challenging league opener Monday, falling 20-5 to Riddle/Days Creek on the road. The Antlers managed to plate five runs but couldn't match the offensive output of their hosts in what proved to be a difficult start to conference play.
The loss drops Bonanza to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in league competition as they continue working to find their rhythm in the early portion of the season. While the final score was lopsided, the Antlers showed they could generate offense against quality pitching, crossing home plate five times in hostile territory.
Coach and players will look to regroup quickly as league play continues, with each conference game carrying significant weight in the standings. The young season still offers plenty of opportunities for Bonanza to establish itself as league competition intensifies.
The Antlers will look to bounce back in their next outing as they continue building chemistry and working to turn the corner in what remains a long spring campaign ahead.
